Western Wayne and West Scranton are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will square off against the Invaders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Western Wayne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.

Western Wayne is headed into Monday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Dunmore. The match was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Western Wayne couldn't quite close it out.

Jacob Wells and Robbie Carrelle scored all three of Western Wayne's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, West Scranton managed to keep up with Gregory The Great Academy until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Invaders lost 4-1 to Gregory The Great Academy. Keiner Orozco was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Western Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for West Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Western Wayne took their victory against West Scranton in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 6-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
