Football Recap: Walhalla Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walhalla can now relate to. They took a blow against the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers on Friday, falling 47-7. The Razorbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christ Church Episcopal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Martin II, who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The Cavaliers are 7-1 when Martin II posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another passer making a difference was Judd Windham, who threw for 238 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt.

Walhalla's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Walhalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they will challenge Woodruff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 954 yards in their previous games.
