Basketball Recap: Heartland Christian Takes a Loss

Heartland Christian entered their contest against Essex on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Heartland Christian fell 39-30 to the Essex Trojans. Heartland Christian was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Essex earlier this season, when they won 42-32.

Heartland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Essex, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18.

Coming up, Heartland Christian will challenge Omaha Christian Academy on Tuesday. As for Essex, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-17 defeat against East Mills on the 7th.
