Soccer Recap: Mira Costa Plays Ranked Matchup

On Monday, Mira Costa faced Redondo Union in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Neither the Mira Costa Mustangs nor the Redondo Union Sea Hawks could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Mustangs' first draw of the season.

Tosh Bridges and Trenton Zimmermann scored both of Mira Costa's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

With that draw, Mira Costa's record moves to 20-2-1. As for Redondo Union, they moved theirs to 11-4-3.

As of now, neither Mira Costa nor Redondo Union have any future games scheduled.
