Volleyball Recap: Rancho Cotate Comes Up Short on the Road Against Terra Linda

Rancho Cotate had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terra Linda Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

While Rancho Cotate ultimately came up short, they really made Terra Linda work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23, 12-25, 25-10.

Roxana Corona and Amira Bitz Hay certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Corona had 16 digs and four assists, while Bitz Hay had nine digs.

Rancho Cotate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Napa on the 21st. As for Terra Linda, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Montgomery on the 21st.
