Kennett entered their tilt with Nettleton on Thursday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 13 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Handley McAtee made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Baylee Wilcut was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Kynsly McCaig was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Kennett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive contests.

Kennett's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.9 runs over those games. As for Nettleton, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennett will host Thayer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nettleton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
