Volleyball Recap: Shepard Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Shepard saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Naperville Central Redhawks by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Astros.

While Shepard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-21.

Oliver Bilik paced Shepard's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bilik got some help from Conor Harkala and his 24 assists. Finally, Mikolaj Drag kept Shepard's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Shepard pushed their record up to 17-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Naperville Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepard will welcome Stagg at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Naperville Central, they will host Naperville North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
