Softball Recap: Crean Lutheran Comes Up Short

Crean Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Troy Warriors, falling 19-7. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-0 loss back in April.

Anna Ciftcikara was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Amanda Angel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Crean Lutheran's record is now 5-19. As for Troy, they moved to 7-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crean Lutheran is set to square off against their familiar foe Yorba Linda at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Troy will take on rival Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
