Jaime Cordova posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Cordova's effort led Palmview over Mission Veterans Memorial and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
