Recap: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Fort Collins Lambkins
The Roosevelt Roughriders struggled with threes on Wednesday (the Fort Collins Lambkins had 600% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Roosevelt was outmatched by Fort Collins at home and fell 81-48. Roosevelt has not had much luck with Fort Collins recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Roosevelt's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Landyn McCann, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Palma, who scored 12 points.
Leading Fort Collins to victory were Marcel Herrera and Jayce King. Herrera scored 20 points, while King scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Folkestad, who scored 10 points.
Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fort Collins, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will play host again and welcome Platte Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Collins, they will be playing at home against Denver East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
