Basketball Recap: Huffman Comes Up Short

Huffman lost against Gadsden City last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huffman Vikings took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gadsden City Titans.

Gadsden City found their leader in sophomore Naomi Wise, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wise has scored all season. Mariah Ragland was another key player, putting up six points.

Huffman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Gadsden City, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-9.

Huffman will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Anniston at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Gadsden City, they will welcome Hartselle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
