Basketball Recap: Everton Comes Up Short

Everton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-44 loss at the hands of the Greenfield Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 81-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Everton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joshua Daniels, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was James Grisham, who posted nine points and five boards.

Everton's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Greenfield, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12.

Everton will welcome Bradleyville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Everton is facing Bradleyville at the right time seeing as Bradleyville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Greenfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Diamond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
