Recap: Thompson Valley Eagles vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
In what's become a running theme this season, the Thompson Valley Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Roosevelt as Thompson Valley made off with a 78-58 victory. With Thompson Valley ahead 46-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Brady Kennison, who scored 25 points along with five assists and four steals. Kennison is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Chase Manzani was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Roosevelt lost, one person who can't be blamed is Seppe Salvatore. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 63.8% of Roosevelt's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Thompson Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
Thompson Valley will head out on the road to challenge the Ravens at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,077 points over their last 15 matches. As for Roosevelt, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Frederick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
