Basketball Game Preview: Scott Beavers vs. Kingman Eagles

The Scott Beavers will square off against the Kingman Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Kingman likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Scott humbled Cimarron with a 60-30 victory. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won eight in a row.

Scott had a senior duo take command as Jackson Rumford almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards and Eloy Ruelas went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points along with eight assists and three steals. Rumford's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Avery Radke, who posted ten points.

Scott was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cimarron only six assists.

Meanwhile, Kingman came up short against Trinity Academy on Tuesday and fell 57-47.

Kingman has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. Scott's victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Scott strolled past Kingman in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 65-47. Does Scott have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kingman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
