Softball Game Preview: Cary Imps vs. Panther Creek Catamounts

Cary hasn't had much luck against Panther Creek recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Imps will square off against the Catamounts at 4:30 p.m. Cary has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cary is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Tuesday. They lost 18-3 to Apex Friendship.

Catherine Baker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Delaney Davis also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Panther Creek's offense. They came up short against Holly Springs on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The Catamounts have struggled against the Golden Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Panther Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Cary, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
