Althoff Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eureka Wildcats.

Nate Sorgea paced Althoff Catholic's offense, picking up nine kills. Sorgea got some help from Rhett Neville and his 23 assists.

Althoff Catholic's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Eureka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Althoff Catholic and Eureka will both be playing Howell Central the next time they take the court. The Crusaders will head out to face the Spartans at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 6:15 p.m.
