Soccer Recap: Ennis Takes a Loss

Ennis lost against Midlothian back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ennis Lions lost 8-0 to the Midlothian Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Panthers are ranked 170th).

This is the second loss in a row for Ennis and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Midlothian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Ennis face off against Corsicana at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Midlothian, they will challenge Kaufman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
