Escondido Charter and Francis Parker are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Escondido Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Escondido Charter earned a 7-3 win over Bishop's. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lilly Harper made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zaliyah Jones, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rose Gomez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Escondido Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop's only posted a batting average of .281.
Meanwhile, Francis Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Santa Fe Christian, falling 19-2.
Francis Parker saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Antczak, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was Antczak's first of the season.
Escondido Charter's record is now 17-4. As for Francis Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Francis Parker's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Escondido Charter hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. It's a different story for Francis Parker, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Escondido Charter's hitters?
Escondido Charter took their win against Francis Parker in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
