Football Recap: Dobie Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dobie lost against Pearland back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns took a blow against the Oilers, falling 43-13. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Oilers are ranked 39th).

This is the second loss in a row for Dobie and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Pearland, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Dobie will host South Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pearland, they will challenge Pasadena Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Oilers will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
