Basketball Recap: De Beque Extends Winning Streak to Five

De Beque won the last time they faced Dolores and Burke Largent did his part to make sure it happened again. The Dragons put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 66-40 win on Friday thanks in part to Largent, who almost dropped a triple-double with 28 points, nine boards, and nine assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Jace Graham was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more boards the last 12 times he's played.

Despite the loss, Dolores still got an impressive performance from Koby McClellan, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 23 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Rantz, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

The victory keeps De Beque at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.8 points this season. As for Dolores, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.
