North Crowley's tournament run continued when they took on Westlake on Saturday. North Crowley skirted past Westlake 36-33. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly three points.

Lake Ridge got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over Mansfield on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Tigers are ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Crowley pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Lake Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
