Softball Recap: Yorkville Comes Up Short

If Yorkville was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Bolingbrook last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Foxes took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oswego Panthers on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Foxes in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Kayla Kersting made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Yorkville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Oswego, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Coincidentally, Yorkville and Oswego will both be playing Minooka the next time they take the field. The Foxes will head out to face the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
