Softball Game Preview: Anderson Titans vs. Trenton Trojans

Anderson is 0-10 against Trenton since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans will take on the Trojans at 4:00 p.m.

Roosevelt hit Anderson with a six-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans came up short against the Bears, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Trenton can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past Taylor 14-3. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Sofia Klug tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had over her last four games.

At the plate, Analy Guth was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alencia Mace, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Trenton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted an OBP of .286.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Trenton, their record now sits at 13-10.

Anderson suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Trenton when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
