The First Academy extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Selah Kohler. The Royals blew past the Boone Braves 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Kohler, who had 11 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The First Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Boone between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.

Boone's loss came despite strong showings from Lucy Pastula and Stella Enz. Pastula had ten digs and two aces, while Enz had ten digs and eight assists.

The First Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Boone, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

The First Academy has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against International Community on the 8th. As for Boone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Apopka on the 9th.
