Football Recap: Desert Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Desert played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Bishop Union Broncos 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 877th, while the Broncos are ranked 334th).

Christian Brown threw for 92 yards and one TD. Shaheem Robertson was his top target, picking up 122 receiving yards and one score.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon White, who rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. White's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Another big playmaker for Bishop Union was Elliott Douda, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bishop Union, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Desert will take on Rosamond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Scorpions will be up against the Roadrunners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bishop Union, they will face off against Kern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Hunter Dailey and Carson Parks.
