            Softball Recap: Pearl River Rebels vs. Ursuline Academy Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Pearl River waltzed into their contest  on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Ursuline Academy Lions 17-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  16-1  back in February.

Pearl River got a  massive  performance out of  Laikyn Jeffries, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with six  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  Jeffries a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Mylee Elsensohn, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
 Jeffries wasn't the only one making solid contact: Pearl River  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 12  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
Pearl River pushed their record up to 12-11 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Ursuline Academy, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-11.
As of now, neither Pearl River nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
