Basketball Recap: Middle Township Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Middle Township came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 46-36 victory over the Absegami Braves. 46 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Middle Township got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abbey Cappelletti out in front who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagen Powell, who had 13 points.

Middle Township's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Absegami, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Middle Township will head out to face off against Holy Spirit at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Holy Spirit has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
