Basketball Recap: Union City Find Success

Union City won the last time they faced Wayne Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Union City Soaring Eagles came out on top against the Wayne Valley Indians by a score of 58-48.

When it comes to explaining why Wayne Valley lost, don't look at Tyler Veale. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Rubino, who posted 13 points.

Union City's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wayne Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Union City will venture away from home to square off against Monmouth Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Union City is facing Monmouth Regional at the right time seeing as Monmouth Regional is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Wayne Valley and River Dell will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
