Basketball Game Preview: Lennox Academy Panthers vs. Vistamar Vikings

Lennox Academy is 0-10 against Vistamar since December of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Lennox Academy Panthers will welcome the Vistamar Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Lennox Academy is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were outmatched by Hawthorne Math & Science Academy and fell 66-29.

Meanwhile, Vistamar entered their tilt with Samueli Academy on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 57-50 win over the Firewolves. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Firewolves are ranked 1012th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vistamar has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Lennox Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Lennox Academy suffered a grim 49-25 defeat to Vistamar in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Vistamar's Isaiah Hill, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with eight boards and three steals.
