Baseball Recap: Regis Ramblers vs. Mishicot Indians

Regis had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Mishicot Indians by a score of 6-4 on Friday.

For Mishicot's part, Nolan Sand was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. Sand was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Sand wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Will Garceau, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Daryn Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Regis will look to defend their home field on Thursday against McDonell Central at 5:00 p.m. As for Mishicot, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-5 win vs. Adams-Friendship on the 6th.
