Basketball Recap: Colleton County Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Colleton County hadn't done well against Hampton County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Colleton County Cougars walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Hampton County Hurricanes. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly eight points.

Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darius Brooks, who posted 15 points and three steals. Brooks is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Desmond Mathis, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and three steals.
