Baseball Recap: Clearwater Valley's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Clearwater Valley suffered their closest loss since April 20, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Grangeville Bulldogs by a score of 11-9. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Peter Fabbi was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clearwater Valley fell to 3-1. As for Grangeville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearwater Valley will venture away from home to square off against Lapwai at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grangeville, they will head out to challenge St. Maries at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Maries has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something Grangeville will no doubt try to take advantage of.
