Lake Catholic was the 2-1 winner over Shaker Heights when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Lake Catholic have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-3. As for Shaker Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Lake Catholic and Shaker Heights could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Cougars will face off against Padua Franciscan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (409 vs. 181). Meanwhile, Shaker Heights (ranked 365th) will meet Brunswick (ranked 143rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
