Volleyball Game Preview: Cascade Kodiaks vs. Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors

Cascade hasn't had much luck against Cle Elum-Roslyn recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Kodiaks will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

On Saturday, Cascade made easy work of Sultan and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kodiaks.

Meanwhile, Cle Elum-Roslyn got the win against Highland on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Scots: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cle Elum-Roslyn took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-14.

Cascade better focus on containing Sydney Brown and Audrey Teh as the pair were huge in Cle Elum-Roslyn's win. Brown had 20 digs and one assist, while Teh had 13 assists and four aces. That's the most aces Teh has posted since back in September. Charlotte Nansel also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cle Elum-Roslyn was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cle Elum-Roslyn, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
