Soccer Game Preview: Eureka vs. Blue Valley West

The Eureka Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Blue Valley West Jaguars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Eureka is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Pembroke Hill on Friday. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Eureka couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Valley West). They put the hurt on Bishop Miege with a sharp 4-0 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Eureka has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Blue Valley West, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
