De La Salle had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the San Ramon Valley Wolves 42-0. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jaden Jefferson, who rushed for 108 yards and three scores on only seven carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. De La Salle also got a significant boost from Duece Jones-Drew, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: De La Salle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 268 rushing yards in ten consecutive games.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to De La Salle's defense and their seven sacks. Wyatt Ferguson was especially locked on to San Ramon Valley's QB and sacked him twice. Ferguson has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times he's played.

De La Salle's record is now 11-0. As for San Ramon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, De La Salle will challenge Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. San Ramon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
