Basketball Recap: Susitna Valley Comes Up Short

Susitna Valley suffered their biggest loss since January 30th on Friday. They were outmatched by the Seward Seahawks and fell 43-14. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Rams' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Susitna Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points on average over those games. As for Seward, the win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Susitna Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seward, they will head out to face off against Lumen Christi at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Seward's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Lumen Christi's offense will have their work cut out for them.
