Basketball Recap: Terrell County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Terrell County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Early County Bobcats by a score of 63-54. This was a revenge game for the Greenwave: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-44 defeat.

Terrell County had a senior duo take command as Michael Carter posted 25 points and Cordarius Perry had 23 points. Perry is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Perry, who earned seven points.

Terrell County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Early County, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terrell County and Mitchell County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Early County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Early County Bobcats challenge the Bainbridge Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
