Volleyball Recap: Andrean Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Andrean had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Hobart on Thursday. The Fighting 59ers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brickies. The Fighting 59ers haven't had any issues with the Brickies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Andrean never let Hobart on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-11.

Andrean found their leader in sophomore Max Szymanski, who had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Szymanski. Max Janquart also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Andrean was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

Andrean pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hobart, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Andrean wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Munster on the 3rd. Hobart has also already played their next matchup (against Hammond Morton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
