Football Game Preview: Algona Bulldogs vs. Webster City Lynx

The Algona Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Webster City Lynx at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Algona is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Algona didn't have quite enough to beat Sioux Center and fell 21-19. The close game was extra heartbreaking for the Bulldogs, who almost overcame a 21 point deficit.

Meanwhile, Webster City played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 28-6 to Bishop Heelan Catholic.

Webster City's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Algona, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Algona beat Webster City 28-21 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
