Basketball Recap: Reese Takes a Loss

Reese blew Valley Lutheran out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Valley Lutheran got their revenge. The Reese Rockets fell just short of the Valley Lutheran Chargers by a score of 40-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rockets have suffered since January 30th.

Reese has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. Valley Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 10-13.

Reese does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Lutheran, they will be taking part in a tournament against Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Valley Lutheran's offense will have their work cut out for them.
