There's no place like home for Charleston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let the Taylorville Tornadoes get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Monday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

Railyn Cox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Cox was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Lainie Keefer was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Avery Beals was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Charleston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 9-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Charleston's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Taylorville, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Charleston beat the Tornadoes by a score of 10-7 later that day.
