Softball Game Preview: Barnesville Shamrocks vs. Buckeye Trail Warriors

The Barnesville Shamrocks will square off against the Buckeye Trail Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye Trail took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Barnesville, who comes in off a win.

Barnesville took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Union Local as they made off with an 18-2 win. The match marked the Shamrocks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Buckeye Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Conotton Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Ella Ashby was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one stolen base. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Barnesville's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Buckeye Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
