Volleyball Recap: Clarkstown South Takes a Loss

Clarkstown South entered their matchup against John Jay on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat on Thursday.

While Clarkstown South ultimately came up short, they really made John Jay work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 23-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Leading John Jay to victory were Samantha Seymour and Nina Barra. Seymour had 13 digs and one assist, while Barra had seven digs. That's the most digs Seymour has posted since back in September.

Clarkstown South's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for John Jay, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-3-1.

Clarkstown South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Jay, they will square off against Suffern at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
