Softball Game Preview: Hollywood Sheiks vs. Roybal Titans

The Hollywood Sheiks will venture away from home to challenge the Roybal Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hollywood played against Mendez on Monday and won via forfeit.

The team relied heavily on Celeste Huante, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and one triple. Another player making a difference was Iralyn Ortiz, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Hollywood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

On Thursday, Roybal got the win against Belmont by a conclusive 19-1. Considering the Titans have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hollywood's record now sits at 6-7. As for Roybal, their record is now 8-4.

Hollywood suffered a grim 16-3 defeat to Roybal in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Sheiks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
