Baseball Recap: Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Takes a Loss

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spoto Spartans. The Phoenix were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in hits.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Spoto, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.
