Baseball Recap: Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy Takes a Loss

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They lost 14-0 to the West Branch Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the WolfPack of the 12-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for West Branch, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For West Branch's part, Nick Parks was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was Parks' first of the season. Hansen Lannen was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI.

Looking ahead, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will head out on the road to square off against Halifax at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Branch, they will be playing at home against Juniata Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
