Soccer Game Preview: Pender vs. South Lenoir + How To Watch

The Pender Patriots will square off against the South Lenoir Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. South Lenoir took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pender, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Pender needed a bit of extra time to put away Southwest Onslow. They had just enough and edged out the Stallions 2-1. Pender's winning goal came courtesy of Adrian Torres.

Meanwhile, South Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Heide Trask.

Pender pushed their record up to 4-8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. As for South Lenoir, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

Pender was able to grind out a solid victory over South Lenoir in their previous meeting back in August of 2017, winning 4-2. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
