Soccer Game Preview: Bishop England vs. A.C. Flora

The Bishop England Battling Bishops will face off against the A.C. Flora Falcons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bishop England is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Hilton Head Island. The victory was familiar territory for Bishop England, who have now won nine matches in a row.

They hit Hilton Head Island with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Delpino (2), Sophia DeMarco, and Reese Woodard.

Meanwhile, A.C. Flora kept a clean sheet against Dreher on Friday. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 4-0 win. Give A.C. Flora's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

A.C. Flora has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 92 goals over those 15 contests. As for Bishop England, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Everything went Bishop England's way against A.C. Flora in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, as Bishop England made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Battling Bishops since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
