Volleyball Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Box Elder Bees

The Roy Royals will venture away from home to face off against the Box Elder Bees at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Roy got the win against Northridge by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Meanwhile, Box Elder came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 26-24.

Box Elder's win came from a few key players Roy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Peter Laing, who had 19 assists and five digs. Laing is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 19 every time he's taken the court this season.

Box Elder's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Roy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Roy couldn't quite get it done against Box Elder in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Roy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
